Jessica on the Rise?

Jessica wants to become a tattoo artist? Where did this come from? All the sudden we find out that she has been "scratching" which means she has been doing tattoos out of her house. The random tattoo artists that no one really knows who they are or where they came from-has nicknamed her scratcher-iness. Jessica wants to take the test to become a tattoo artist but no one wants her to cheat the system and not do an apprenticeship. She gets angry and feels ganged up on by all of the guys on the shop so she storms out. Jess talks to Megan about the whole "scratching" thing-Megan wants to help her go in the right direction and takes a softer approach to addressing the situation. Jess leaves and has Robear cover for her on the cube when she goes to take the NY state test. Ami gets mad and threatens to fire her. P.S. she passes the test. Tommy tries to consult Ami and to possibly take her as an apprentice so she wont leave and go to another tattoo shop... hopefully she wont leave Wooster she's an asset to the feel of the shop.

Zen Jen (yes that is her real name) is an energy coach and comes into have Ami do a native american tattoo. She wanted to "smudge" before her tattoo. This consisted of lighting sage on fire and spreading around the room. They thought it smelled like lettuce leaves...

Billy came back... apparently everyone decided that the way before was the way to go. And now that he is back everyone accepts them.

The touching story of the week goes to Tim's tattoo. He does a tattoo on a motorcycle rider that works in a body shop. This guy was in rehab and prison multiple times but he aspired to be more and came out of the dumps and moved up to the guy he is today.

Robear is dating!!! hopefully more details to come!! :)

And if that wasn't touching enough-Ami is flying Billy's family to come see him from Vancouver. Everyone cries in the shop when Billy's wife and daughter come in the door of Wooster. It's true... all of the tattoos do cover a big heart.

Billy Regrets Quitting?!

Billy regrets quitting, but he feels insulted by Ami. Ami thinks that Billy can't see the difference between friends and work. Just because Ami is hard on him doesn't mean he is mad at him. Billy tries to tattoo in his apartment by himself and finds it to be a little rocky. When he skypes his wife she is more than upset. She tells him he needs to go back to Ami and apologize so that Billy can have stable income and support them.

Obviously with a family Billy can't act like a teenager anymore, if he gets upset with his boss he can't just up and quit-it's irresponsible and unfair to his family! I think this was a very juvenile move and a big mistake.

Meg is DJ-ing a Steam Pop party at the shop. This is a victorian era "music and artwork" party with a mix of industrial and rustic art. She talks about how marriage and babies are just not her and her career is above all of the rest-but she is really nervous around her new guy friend. Jessica thinks that Megan really likes him but just doesn't want to screw it up.

Tommy does a portrait on a woman's arm of her son. He died in a motorcycle accident a few months before. Tommy and his client have a real connection because his sister died when she was 14 in a car accident. It was again a really touching part of the show. I think that the producers are trying to bring out the softer sides of these harsh looking characters-is it working??

Stay tuned! The next episode will be here in a little over 48 hours!

Cake Boss makes a visit!

In this week's episode Mauro Castano of TLC's Cake Boss makes a visit to get a portrait of his wife.
A fashionista (no she wasn't important enough for me to remember her name) got a tacky coffee cup on her wrist.
Robear is set up on a set of speed dates to find "true love" by the girls at the shop, and Billy threatens to quit when Ami pushes him to his limit. It was an exciting night full of New York flair. If you want the full break down of the episode watch my video!
